Confirm your award if you have recently graduated
Digital certificates are available for students who graduated from 10 September 2022 onwards. You can share your digital certificates (login required) with anyone you need to.
Certificates are posted in the weeks following publication of results.
If you need confirmation of your award and are unable to wait for your certificate to arrive, you should download your HEAR (for undergraduate students) or Awards and results (for all students) from MYUWE.
Please note: You have 120 days from publication of results to download your HEAR.
Please refer to our certificates pages for further information.
Confirm your award if you graduated more than two months ago
If your certificate has not arrived, the University will provide another copy. However, please note that we must wait two months from the date of posting before we can be certain the certificate is lost. This is to allow the certificate to be returned to us.
Please refer to the certificates pages for information on applying for replacement certificates.
Students who graduates after 10 September 2022 can access digital documents including award certificate, certificate of credit and verification letter.
Students who graduated before 10 September 2022, please follow the guidance on how to contact your School on the Information requests page.
Please note: Turnaround times during peak periods (May to August) can be longer, so by the time a letter is produced your certificates may have arrived. See our other types of certificates page for more information on verification letters.
Confirm information for your sponsor or employer
On occasion, sponsors will request a letter from the University confirming information. The notes below point you to where you can find the most commonly requested information:
Fee information (confirm your current fees)
The tuition fee search should be able to provide this information.
If you study part time or are a postgraduate student, you will receive an invoice from the University. If you have not received an invoice, you should contact the relevant Student Programme Support Team for your School.
Confirm your hours of study/contact time
It is not possible to produce a definitive statement about your hours of study. However, you should be able to find this information via the programme or module specification. If you need further support, please contact the relevant Student Programme Support Team for your School.
Confirm that you will be on vacation
You can find the student vacation dates via the Term dates.
Confirm Home Office guidance on working during your studies
If you are an undergraduate or postgraduate international student, you can download and use the working hours letter stating the rules about international students working in the UK. This letter will confirm Home Office guidance on working during your study and the University’s vacation period based on the level of the programme you study.
Confirm your progression on an award
If you are an undergraduate student this information is available in your Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR). All other students can view this within the confirmed awards and results section in MYUWE, after results publication.
For any other information, please contact the relevant Student Programme Support Team for your School.
Provide a scan of my certificate
UWE Bristol does not provide scanned/duplicate copies of certificates to sponsors. If you've graduated after 10 September 2022 you can access digital documents, including award certificate, certificate of credit and verification letter. If you are a current undergraduate student we recommend that the HEAR is used.
Require a status letter
If you are an internationally sponsored student and require a status letter, please email your request through to sponsorstudents@uwe.ac.uk.
