Project summary
In 2010, Dr Tim Chatterton was awarded an ESRC/RCUK Energy Programme Placement Fellowship in the Department for Energy and Climate Change. He spent 12 months working in Whitehall looking at "Individuals' and Communities' Energy Behaviour" with a remit to "challenge and be challenged"!
His work covered a wide range of activities, including a detailed review of where current DECC policies interacted with the public(s), and provided support for the development of business cases for a significant increase in the Department's social research capacity. The main stream of his work, though, was to develop an introductory guide to 'energy behaviour' for the Department.
