Student ID cards

UWE Bristol’s student ID cards act as proof of your student status and entitle you to access and use campus facilities, such as our libraries. You should always keep your card with you while you are on a UWE Bristol campus.

New students

Before you collect your ID card

We can only print your ID card if you have added your photo to MYUWE.

To avoid delays, upload your photo as soon as you receive login details. For help, go to our student card guidance

Printing your ID card

To make sure your card can be printed, upload your photo at least two working days before collection.

Collecting your ID card

Collect your ID card from the campus where you study, unless advised otherwise. You will need photo identification to collect your UWE Bristol ID card. For example, your:

  • passport
  • national identity card
  • driving licence
  • BRP
  • other photo ID card.

Lost cards

Please report lost, or stolen ID cards immediately to our Security Team so that the card can be disabled.

If you have found a lost card please hand it into one of our Information Points or the Security Office at Frenchay Campus – room 1E20.

Replacement and faulty cards

If your existing card is lost or stolen, you can order a replacement card via the Online Store. Once you have made your request via the Online Store, please visit any Information Point during office hours for the card to be printed while you wait. It will not be posted to your address.

If you believe your card to be faulty or it is not giving you the correct access, please visit any Information Point for this to be looked at.
