Description
Come and find out how to improve the sustainability and efficiency of our laboratories at UWE using LEAF, a programme developed by University College London which covers all aspects of sustainability: waste, people, travel, energy, water, procurement, and research quality using a dedicated framework, online calculators, toolkit and resources.
With 3 labs on campus already applying for the Bronze award (in Forensics, Microbiology and Molecular Biology) hear from our Environment Management Lead Jeff Davey how to get involved and exchange experience with more than a dozen labs which are already signed up and taking the challenge here.
LEAF is geared primarily towards Biological wet labs so if you run a computer lab Jeff also has guidance on Green Disc the free computing equivalent.
Open to all staff and students, whether you are a lab technician, are already registered with the scheme, or just interested in the issues. No need to book - just drop in anytime on the day.
