Commencement of issuing CAS
We begin issuing CAS for eligible students from early April.

Wednesday 4 June 2025
English Language Test
If you need to supply evidence of your English language ability as a condition of your offer, you may be eligible for a free English Language Placement Test.
Wednesday 4 June 2025 is the last opportunity to sit this test. Places are limited.

Friday 13 June 2025
Application deadline
The deadline for applying to a September intake course is Friday 13 June 2025. Final interviews* are held on:
- Wednesday 25 June for Primary PGCE
- Tuesday 24 June for all Secondary PGCEs except PE and Art and Design
- Thursday 26 June for PE and Art and Design PGCE.
*From 1 June, only applicants who have met academic conditions will be invited to interview.

Deposit payment deadline
Make sure you pay your deposit or, if you are a sponsored student, you have uploaded a copy of your sponsor letter or notified us of your sponsorship, by Saturday 28 June 2025. We may not be able to accept payments received after this date.
All payments must be made through flywire. We cannot accept payment directly to the UWE Bristol bank account. Any payments received to our bank account will be returned and may impact on your ability to join the course.
Some of our courses have strict capacity. We may have to close deposits before the published deadline. To ensure you don’t pay the deposit after this time, we will notify you of the situation and withdraw your place of study.

Deadline for meeting CAS conditions
By the 30th June, you will need to have met all the conditions of your offer and to have completed the following tasks to ensure that you are ready for the CAS deadline of the 2nd July – this includes:
Bank statement upload
If you are travelling from a country classified by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) as non-low risk, you must provide a bank statement as part of your visa application. We need to check that you have uploaded your bank statement before we can issue your CAS.
Upload your bank statement through the Welcome website for our Admissions Team to check before Monday 30 June 2025.
We recommend that you have the required funds in your bank no later than Saturday 31 May to meet the requirements set by UKVI.
Evidence of Overseas Criminal Record check application
This programme of study requires you to have an Overseas Criminal Record check from your current country of residence. Information will be sent to your Welcome website, however you can find out more on the GOV.UK website. It is important to apply for your Overseas Criminal Record check as soon as you receive the information to your Welcome website and to provide evidence by Monday 30 June 2025.

CAS deadline
This is the last date a CAS can be issued. After this date we will only be able to issue CAS in exceptional circumstances.
Apply for your visa as soon as you receive your CAS to ensure you receive it in time for arrival in August 2025.
To receive your CAS, you will need to have:
- met all the conditions of your offer
- paid your deposit (deposit amount will be on your offer letter)
- provided any required documents.
If you don't require a student visa or are able to apply for your visa from the UK, we may be able to accommodate later dates if the course start date and capacity allows it.

Online registration opens
You will receive your MYUWE login once your CAS has been issued. You must complete online registration before can you begin on Starting Block.
How to registerMonday 25 August 2025
DBS and Occupational Health clearance
This programme of study requires you to hold a UK Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure Certificate. You must also undertake a health clearance review prior to beginning your studies with us.
Information will be sent to your Welcome website.
The deadline to complete these checks is Monday 25 August 2025. Aim to travel to the UK at least three weeks before your course starts to apply for your DBS certificate.

Starting Block
Starting Block and course induction will start on Tuesday 26 August 2025.
If you are not able to arrive for in-person sessions by your start date, you will need to defer your place or withdraw and request a refund.
