Application deadline

Applications close on Friday 15 November 2024 for January intake courses.

Some courses may close earlier due to demand – check the course page for up-to-date information.

Wednesday 27 November 2024

Deposit payment deadline

Make sure you pay your deposit or, if you are a sponsored student, you have uploaded a copy of your sponsor letter or notified us of your sponsorship, by Wednesday 27 November 2024. We may not be able to accept payments received after this date.

All payments must be made through flywire. We cannot accept payment directly to the UWE Bristol bank account. Any payments received to our bank account will be returned and may impact on your ability to join the course.

Some of our courses have strict capacity. We may have to close deposits before the published deadline. To ensure you don’t pay the deposit after this time, we will notify you of the situation and withdraw your place of study.

English Language Test

If you need to supply evidence of your English language ability as a condition of your offer, you may be eligible for a free English Language Placement Test. Places are limited.

Our free UWE Bristol English Language tests begin in September. Wednesday 4 December 2024 is the last opportunity to sit this test.

Friday 6 December 2024

Bank statement upload deadline

If you are travelling from a country classified by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) as non-low risk, you must provide a bank statement as part of your visa application. We need to check that you have uploaded your bank statement before we can issue your CAS.  

Upload your bank statement through the Welcome Portal for our Admissions Team to check before Friday 6 December 2024.

We recommend that you have the required funds in your bank no later than Wednesday 6 November to meet the requirements set by UKVI.

Any bank statements uploaded after Friday 6 December will be accepted on a case-by-case basis and will be required to show the new amounts for a CAS to be issued.

Friday 13 December 2024

CAS deadline

This is the last date a CAS can be issued. After this date we will only be able to issue CAS in exceptional circumstances.

Apply for your visa as soon as you receive your CAS to ensure you receive it in time for arrival in January 2025.

To receive your CAS, you will need to have:

  • met all the conditions of your offer
  • paid your deposit
  • provided any required documents.

There are new maintenance requirements in place for any visa application submitted on and after Thursday 2 January 2025. Any applications submitted after this date will be subject to the new amounts.

Starting Block and teaching starts

Starting Block and course induction will start for most courses Monday 20 January 2025.

Some courses start outside of these term dates and we will make these start dates available soon.

If you are not able to arrive for in-person lectures by your start date, please contact us to see if we can offer a small extension or if we have to discuss deferral or refund options.

Monday 3 February 2025

Latest arrival date

It is essential that you travel and arrive in time for the course induction and the start of teaching. We understand that delays may occur beyond your control, therefore Monday 3 February is the latest possible start date.

If you are unable to be in the UK and ready for face-to-face teaching by this date, you will need to defer your entry to the course.

Start dates may vary between courses, so please check your CAS statement for the exact start date of your course or contact international@uwe.ac.uk.
