Important information

Our summer accommodation is available to group bookings through the summer months on our main campus, Frenchay Campus. Summer accommodation runs from Tuesday 9 July 2024 to Tuesday 27 August 2024 and the accommodation available is in our Student Village.

There are two options available:

  • room only: £54.00 per person, per night
  • self-catered: £54.00 per person, per night plus £ cost of self-catering package (price available on request).

Facilities include:

  • own bedroom including bed, desk, storage, and en-suite facility.
  • beds will be provided with linen, duvet cover, and pillows.
  • towels, basic toiletries.
  • kettle and microwave
  • tea/coffee welcome packs including mugs and spoons.
  • access to communal areas (eg Common Rooms).
  • access to laundry facilities.
  • 24-hour campus security.
  • WiFi.

Please note that facilities do not include catering, cutlery or crockery (excluding the mugs and spoons listed above). If you are interested in adding this on, please indicate this via the form below.

Room size

All rooms in the Student Village have single beds and are single occupancy only.

Accessible rooms

We have accessible rooms in the Student Village. These rooms have been adapted for different purposes and can include wider doors and extra floor space, accessible bathrooms, sinks with lever taps, rails to make transitions easier, adjustable basin, sink, hob and desk heights, rooms fitted with flashing light alarms in place of audible alarms or vibrating pad alarms, facilities for vibrating pillows, improved lighting, and bumper stickers.

Children and animals

Unfortunately, our facilities are not suitable for children under 16, pets or animals (excluding registered assistance animals).

If your group includes young adults aged between 16-18, you will need to meet our safeguarding policies.

Individual, couple or small group bookings

We are not currently offering bookings to individuals, couples, or small groups (under ten people). This is something we may offer in the future so do check back at a later date.

Parking

There is no parking available except for those with accessible needs.

Shops and food

The Students' Union on Frenchay Campus will be open all through summer and includes a bar that does a limited selection of bar food, a small convenience store and social spaces with table football, pool tables and table tennis.

There are supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants very close by. Abbeywood Retail Park is a five-minute walk away – find shops, cafes, supermarkets and restaurants including Nando’s, McDonalds and Asda. There is also a large Sainsbury’s store, a Lidl and an Aldi only a short walk away. Get directions.

Spaces for hire

Meeting rooms, seminar rooms, and lecture theatres are available to be booked at an additional cost.

The Centre for Sport have indoor and outdoor courts and pitches which are available to hire at an additional cost. 

The Centre for Music has fully equipped rehearsal studios, DJ booth, practice rooms, recording studios and performance spaces available at an additional cost.

Deposit and payment

A 20% deposit is required 14 days after receipt of our booking contract.

The remaining balance must be received one month prior to your arrival.
