Student Village
Make a home for yourself on Frenchay Campus in our Student Village and join a vibrant community of nearly 2,000 students.
You’ll be within walking distance from lectures, the library, Students’ Union and other campus facilities. Bristol city centre is also a short bus ride away.
The Village is made up of four courtyards – Brecon, Cotswold, Mendip and Quantock. You’ll live in a six or five-person flat with an en-suite room and shared kitchen.

Global Student Living Silver Certification
We have achieved silver certification for Brecon Court, Cotswold Court, Quantock Court and Wallscourt Park from Global Student Living.
The certification is based on meeting set thresholds within each of the seven metrics that make up the GSL Index Score (Condition and Quality, Bedroom, Value for Money, Care and Support, Recycling and Environmental Facilities, Overall Management and Internet).
What's included
Your room
- Standard en-suite: single bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, bookshelves, bedside cabinet, mirror and en-suite wet room.
- Superior en-suite: all the above plus a larger desk space and bigger en-suite wet room.
- You will have a TV point available in your room – don't forget your TV Licence.
- Accessible and adapted rooms are available to request in Student Village.
Shared facilities
- Well-equipped kitchen with two cookers, microwave, kettle, two fridge/freezers, bins, storage cupboards and an ironing board.
- Shared living area with TV point, breakfast bar, sofas and other seating.
- Laundry facilities and bike storage.
- Internet access provided by ASK4.
- Accommodation Customer Services are open Monday to Friday, 11:00 to 18:45 and Saturday to Sunday, 11:00 to 17:45.
Good to know: parking is not available at the Student Village.

1. Transport links
Bristol Parkway train station connects UK-wide, while the handy Filton Abbey Wood gets you to destinations across the city and beyond. There are bus stops on campus to hop on the speedy Metrobus into town – and even a dedicated Megabus and National Express coach stop for longer journeys. Get directions
2. Outdoor space
Now breathe. There’s plenty of open space on campus: trails where bees thrive, community gardens, even spots to pick some fresh herbs to throw in your pasta. Just a short walk from campus is Stoke Park Estate, a sprawling historic park that is popular and free to access. Get directions
3. Supermarkets, cafes and restaurants
Abbeywood Retail Park is a five minute walk away – find shops, cafes and restaurants. A large Sainsbury’s store and Lidl is also a short walk away. Get directions

There’s plenty right on the doorstep on Frenchay Campus: The Students' Union at UWE, 24/7 Library, Centre for Music, sports facilities, shops and numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. Get directions

- Contract length: Accommodation costs are for 42 weeks.
- Insurance: Insurance is included in your accommodation costs, provided by Cover4Students.
- Gym membership: You can add an annual gym membership at the Centre for Sport to your rent. The £199 membership fee will be split equally between your instalments.
