Careers and Enterprise drop-ins

We run Careers and Enterprise drop-ins across UWE Bristol campuses and locations which are a great starting point where we will help you identify the most useful resources or other appropriate support from our service to meet your needs. finding careers events and online careers resources
getting work experience (including placements)
CV resources and feedback
covering letter resources and feedback
job application resources and initial feedback
interview preparation resources
enterprise and self-employment.

Drop-in locations

Frenchay Campus drop-in locations

Get a quick query answered on campus face to face with someone from the Careers and Enterprise teams, including brief careers enquiries and help with your job search, whether you’re after a placement, internship, graduate scheme, volunteering or global opportunities and more. We can also help you get started with the tools that you need to secure your new role.

Drop-ins are available in The Careers Lounge, the Library level 2 (opposite Starbucks), X-Block (off of the ground floor atrium, just before the exit to the visitor car park) and Z-Block atrium.

Please note: in periods of high demand we can’t guarantee that you’ll be seen, so we recommend that you arrive at the beginning of a session. Times and locations may vary during vacation times. Sessions are subject to change or cancellation.

We run bookable careers sessions for all City Campuses.

Spike Island and Arnolfini Campuses

You can book remote sessions on InfoHub. For face-to-face appointments on your campus, please contact the Careers Team at careers@uwe.ac.uk who will forward your request to the appropriate Careers Coach.

Careers and Enterprise coaching

These specialist sessions are longer appointments and provide coaching to help you take control of your future aspirations.

Before booking one of these appointments, you should either look at the online resources in Career Toolkit, come along to our Career Essentials or Enterprise (Student Ventures) workshops, or attend a drop-in session.

These 30-minute appointments can provide help with:

career choice
exploring options
postgraduate applications
in-depth and specialist application form/CV help and preparation for interviews
mock interviews
course change – exploring potential impact on future career plans
global/international opportunities
enterprise and self-employment options with one of our specialist Enterprise Advisors.

Booking a Careers Coaching appointment

Careers Coaching appointments are available at Frenchay Campus all year round and other campuses during term time. To book your first appointment, log in to InfoHub and visit our appointments section or contact us.
