Socio-economic Sciences: Communicating Outcomes Oriented to Policy (SCOOP)
Supporting the efforts of the research community to reach policy makers.
The SCOOP project sought to support the efforts of the research community to reach policy makers and facilitate the flow of information from the research community to other interested audiences, thereby supporting evidence-based policy making
The SCOOP project had two key strands:
- News Alert Service on Socio-economic and Humanities Research for Policy – this monthly news service provided a platform for dissemination of research findings from EU projects funded through the 6th and 7th Framework Programmes. The news service was designed to reach policy makers and the media.
- Communication Masterclasses – seven workshops designed to help increase the impact of policy and communications efforts. The Masterclasses were developed specifically for social science and humanities (SSH) researchers.
Project duration: October 2009 - September 2012.
SCOOP was funded by the European Union under the Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities 7th Framework Programme for Research.
