Lisa Melton
Lisa Melton is Senior News Editor at Nature Biotechnology and has taught on the Writing Science module of the MSc in Science Communication for many years. She was born in Argentina and moved to London for a postdoc in Immunology at the National Institutes of Medical Research, now the Crick.
Though she loved T cells and FACS machines, she was rubbish at the lab bench, so eventually her childhood fascination with New Scientist took over. She pivoted to science journalism, wrote for Nature, The Economist, Scientific American, The Observer, The Times, and, yes, New Scientist too. For the last 14 years at Nature Biotechnology, she chases after new ideas, mostly, and edits the rest of the time.
