Research themes within Research in Public International Law (RIPIL)
RIPIL’s work covers a wide range of Public International Law sub-fields, including (although not limited to):
- Environmental law and sustainability
- International human rights law
- The law on the use of force
- International humanitarian law
- International criminal law
- Migration and refugee law
- International economic law
RIPIL also has UWE Bristol-based members working in related disciplines, such as politics, international relations, criminology and business, and undertakes cross-cutting activities with the Global Security and Human Rights research theme within the College of Health, Science and Society’s Social Science Research Group (SSRG).
The group additionally has a large number of external members, including many non-academic members working globally in areas such as legal practice, politics, and defence.
