Appearance Matters 7
Conference held from 28 to 30 June 2016
The Appearance Matters 7 conference, took place on 28–30 June 2016 at the Royal College of Surgeons, London, and was attended by a record number of delegates – 250 from across 28 countries. The conference sponsors were The Dove Self-Esteem Project and The Scar Free Foundation.

Keynote speakers

Dr Eric Stice
Dr Eric Stice served as an assistant professor and associate professor at the University of Texas at Austin, and subsequently took a position as Senior Research Scientist at Oregon Research Institute, USA. His talk focused on developing and disseminating evidence-based body acceptance interventions.
Professor Diana Harcourt
Professor Diana Harcourt is Professor of Appearance and Health Psychology, and Co-Director of the Centre for Appearance Research (CAR) at UWE Bristol. Professor Harcourt gave her keynote address on visible differences in low-income countries.
Professor S Bryn Austin
Professor S Bryn Austin is Professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Harvard Chan School of Public Health, and in the Department of Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School, USA. Professor Austin delivered her keynote address on public health and policy approaches.
