We are seeking volunteers to work with adults and young people who have sexually harmed to safely integrate them into the community, model appropriate behaviour and combat social isolation which can often lead to re-offending.

As a Grief Kind Spaces Volunteer, you’ll help people who have experienced bereavement within your local community in an informal group setting.

You do not need to have qualifications or previous experience, you just need to care about people who have been bereaved and have time to offer.

Graphic design including the use of InDesign and Elementor/Wordpress for creating, editing, formatting, etc. The volunteer should have basic IT skills and an interest in international development issues and/or climate change and/or social justice and/or global citzenship. Approx. 2 hrs per fortnight

Editing videos received from Beira, Mozambique, including editing, formatting, subtitling (from translation), adding splash pages – to go on YouTube channel

Monitor social media, prepare posts for social media, contribute to newsletter, press releases and website. Portuguese language skills preferable but not essential.

Assist Trustees to raise funds for vulnerable communities in Beira, Mozambique. Assist setting up events. Networking with potential sponsors.

Administrative support to the Trustees of Southern Africa Resource Centre, by supporting development intiatives in Beira Mozambique, and by increasing knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa in Bristol, making a contribution to climate justice and global citizenship.

Portuguese – English and/or English – Portuguese translation. Virtually for Videos, correspondence, short reports, zoom meetings. In person for Visits and presentations in Bristol
