About UWE Bristol Singers

UWE Bristol Singers is a thriving choir of students, staff, alumni and community members. Under the dynamic and exciting leadership of Joe Cryan and accompanist Alison Howell, the choir sings a rich programme of classical and contemporary music, with workshops, masterclasses and performances throughout the year.

Highlights:

  • Christmas under Concorde - an exciting concert of Christmas repertoire under the wings of Concorde.
  • Carmina Burana workshop day with masterclasses from our guest soloists from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, all set in the grandeur of St. Georges Bristol.
  • Performances at Centre for Music's annual Festival of Sound.
  • Masterclasses from visiting professional singers.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals take place on Thursdays,19:30 to 21:30 in Room 2B025, B Block on Frenchay Campus.

Membership and registration

UWE Bristol Singers is open to anyone aged 16+ and is one of the best value, professionally led classical choirs in the South West. UWE Bristol students and staff simply need to register with Centre for Music to attend. Why not come and meet us? No audition is required.

Students attend for FREE! Alumni and community should complete the relevant registration form at the bottom of our Become A Member page and pay the annual registration cost of £30 for alumni and £75 for community.

 

How to join

To join any of our Centre for Music groups, you firstly need to become a member. Membership is free for students. Once you are a member you can sign up for any of our groups and activities.
