Key collection
Collecting keys for Frenchay accommodation
Frenchay Campus is our most popular campus to live on. Because of this, you might encounter some queues when you collect your keys. Make sure you have your student ID number ready so we can give you your keys as quickly as possible.
A few weeks before you arrive, you will have the chance to book an arrival slot for Welcome Weekend. This is so we can manage everyone arriving and ensure that people can unload belongings without it being too crowded. If you need to change your arrival slot, send us an email accommodation@uwe.ac.uk so we can rearrange.
There are yellow AA event signs on the main roads leading up to Frenchay Campus. There are different signs to follow depending on where you will be living on Frenchay Campus.
Student Village and Purdown View residents will enter campus via the West Entrance. Wallscourt Park residents will enter campus from the East Entrance. Staff will direct you where to go to collect your keys and give you any necessary extras for car park access.
Once you have your keys, you can begin to unload. You can park by your accommodation for 20 minutes before you are asked to move to a nearby car park. This is so we can keep unloading waiting times down and reduce any queues. We recommend taking all boxes and bags from your car into the room, then moving the car to a nearby car park, before heading back to properly unpack and settle in.
All cars exit Frenchay Campus via the East Entrance.
