Description
How do you feel about climate change?
Do you think progress is being made? Are you sick of hearing about it? Do you have faith that everything will be alright – or are you deeply troubled and wondering what you can do at home and at work?
Glenn Lyons of UWE Bristol’s Centre for Transport and Society will set the context. He'll invite you to share you views about climate change, and to what extent you are an activist and taking climate action.
Climate action comes in different forms, including behaviour changes we can make in our personal lives, what we devote our attention to in our professional lives, and engagement in public protest and civil disobedience.
The current outlook for international action on climate change is not encouraging but all of us can make a difference – framed by the degree of agency we have and our tolerance for taking personal risk.
This event is not about sharing research findings but an intellectually curious attempt on Glenn’s part to make sense of the world around him and encourage others to bring constructive challenge to their roles to mobilise positive climate action in all its forms.
