Description

What happened when a boat of peaceful Greenpeace protestors sailed into the Arctic waters to demonstrate against Russian’s offshore drilling for oil? And how did Putin’s response in the Kremlin unwillingly turn the activists into pawns in his war against the West?

Join us to watch the first episode in the series. capturing the story of the Arctic 30, a Greenpeace mission to carry out a peaceful demonstration that quickly escalated into international outrage when the Russian security forces responded with unjustly brutal force.

Together we will question the dramatic storytelling tools, the methods of protest and the international response captured in this documentary.

Come along on Monday 2 December from 17:00-19:00 to watch the first episode of the series and join in a group discussion afterwards.

All are welcome! Bring your friends and placards! There will be snacks.
