Join us for an insightful event hosted by UWE Bristol lecturers and recruitment staff from Avon and Somerset Constabulary. This event is open to students from all disciplines who are interested in learning about graduate entry routes into policing.
Event highlights:
- Short presentations: get an overview of the graduate entry opportunities available.
- Informal forum: a relaxed environment to discuss two key policing programmes.
Featured programmes

Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP)
- Duration: two years
- Qualification: Graduate Diploma in Professional Policing Practice (UWE Bristol)
- Overview: open to graduates from any discipline, the DHEP allows you to work as an operational police officer while studying for your diploma.
- Key benefits:
- Earn a full police officer salary
- University fees covered by Avon and Somerset Constabulary
- Opportunity to specialize in neighbourhood policing or as a detective
- BSc Applied Criminal Justice
- Overview: ideal for those already working in the criminal justice sector, this programme allows you to earn a degree that recognizes prior professional experience.
- Eligibility: staff in the criminal justice sector can claim the first two years of the programme as prior experiential learning, leaving only the third year to complete for a BSc.
