Description
- Think differently about materials through playful and tactile exploration.
- Discover how building materials literacy can enhance your knowledge and understanding of material properties, uses and environmental impact.
Hands-on workshop activities and informal discussion
Through a series of different activities, you’ll have the chance to explore the different sensory and tactile properties of materials and consider how they could be used in different ways.
You’ll also be introduced to innovative and exciting new recycled and bio-based materials currently in development within industry.
Pop-up artists’ books handling exhibition
Be inspired by a range of examples of artists using materials in unique and interesting ways: artists’ books employ materials and processes that are embedded in how practitioners articulate their bodies and senses to engage with materials, equipment and presses to develop their work.
