Inspire:Me Lecture Series with Elias Williams
Talk summary
This lecture was delivered by Elias William, filmmaker, mentor and founder of mandemhood.com. The talk is called "Network like your life depends on it"
Elias talks about his elaborate journey from nearly failing all of his A levels to completing a Master's degree in History. Elias tells the audience about his arrival at UWE Bristol in 2015 to study film after making the bold decision to abandon his International Relations course in London in favour of something more creative and exciting. With no connections in Bristol before moving there for university, Elias explains he is now a proud representative of Bristol's creative community, having appeared in BBC articles, hosted popular events at the Watershed and Arnolfini, and also having featured in Rife Magazine's Most Influential Bristolians Under 24 list.
