Qualifications listed under each heading may satisfy UWE Bristol entry requirements to that level of study. This is not a guarantee of an offer of a place, which is at the University's discretion.

Entry requirements
Holders of WAEC/NECO/SSCE will be considered for entry to our Foundation Courses at our International College.
Upon successful completion, these courses offer guaranteed entry onto a UWE Bristol undergraduate degree course.
English language requirements
To study at UWE Bristol you must demonstrate that your English level is high enough for university study. We accept a number of different Secure English Language Tests (SELT) for entry onto our degree courses, with IELTS being the most common. English language requirements vary slightly from subject to subject.

What to do if you don't meet our entry requirements
If you do not quite meet our entry requirements, our International College offers a range of university preparation courses to teach you all you need to progress to UWE Bristol. We also have a pre-sessional English language course to get your English skills up to the standard required for entry to UWE Bristol.
We also accept the following local qualification (please note this may vary for some courses):
- WAEC/WASSCE or NECO English Language subject C6 or higher.
Entry requirements
UWE Bristol will consider students who have taken GCE A-level examinations, the International Baccalaureate (IB) or a suitable International Foundation programme such as the one offered at our International College, for entrance onto undergraduate courses.
Applicants who have completed their WAEC or NECO and are also on an International Foundation course or equivalent will be considered for direct entry onto undergraduate courses.
Students who hold a Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma such as an OND or Advanced National Technical Certificate will be considered.
Holders of Higher National Certificate or Higher National Diploma may be considered for direct entry to year 2 or 3 where they meet the Accredited Learning requirements.
Students who have completed the first year of a bachelor's degree from a university in Nigeria will be considered for direct entry onto undergraduate courses.
The requirements listed above are the minimum requirements for entrance to UWE Bristol; competitive courses may have higher requirements.

Entry requirements
Holders of a 4 year Bachelor's degree awarded by a Nigerian university will be considered for postgraduate study. Most Taught masters will require a minimum of a lower second class (2.2) or above.
Students who do not satisfy the requirements would be asked to study a pre-master's course before entry onto a postgraduate course.
Please note: we are unable to consider applicants who hold a HND onto the majority of our Masters programmes. Candidates with relevant work experience may be considered onto some of our Art and Health courses, please contact international@uwe.ac.uk to check before submitting an application.
