Entry requirements
If you do not quite meet the entry requirements for our undergraduate courses, UWE Bristol offers foundation degrees or undergraduate degrees with foundation year entry.
English language requirements
To study at UWE Bristol you must demonstrate that your English level is high enough for university study. We accept a number of different Secure English Language Tests (SELT) for entry onto our degree courses, with IELTS being the most common. English language requirements vary slightly from subject to subject.

What to do if you don't meet our entry requirements
If you do not quite meet our entry requirements, our International College offers a range of university preparation courses to teach you all you need to progress to UWE Bristol. We also have a pre-sessional English language course to get your English skills up to the standard required for entry to UWE Bristol.
Entry requirements
All students must also have a recognised English language qualification. A score of 12 in English in OIB and a score of 13 in English in the standard Baccalaureate meet our English language requirement for most courses.
Holders of the Baccalaureate with an overall score of 12 or above will be considered for a bachelor's degree.

Holders of the License with a ‘bien’ or 60% are eligible to apply for postgraduate study.
Holders of the Maîtrise with a ‘bien’ or 60% are eligible to apply for postgraduate study.
Holders of the Diplôme d’Ingénieur (Engineer’s Diploma) with a ‘bien’ or 60% are eligible to apply for postgraduate study.
Holders of the Magistère, Grade de Master/Masters degree, Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies, and Diplôme d’Etudes Supérieures Specialisées are eligible to apply for PhD.
Please note: where UWE Bristol has an academic agreement in place with an institution, greater flexibility in entry requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate courses may apply as outlined in those agreements.
