Qualifications listed under each heading may satisfy UWE Bristol entry requirements to that level of study. This is not a guarantee of an offer of a place, which is at the University's discretion.
Entry requirements for students from El Salvador
Entry requirements, English language requirements and what to do if you don't meet our entry requirements.

Foundation
If you do not meet the requirements for our Art and Design undergraduate degree courses, you may be considered for a UWE Bristol foundation degree.
For other subject areas, you have the option to undertake an international foundation or international year one programme at our International College.
Upon successful completion, these courses offer guaranteed entry onto a UWE Bristol undergraduate degree course.
English language requirements
To study at UWE Bristol you must demonstrate that your English level is high enough for university study.
We accept a number of different Secure English Language Tests (SELT) for entry onto our degree courses, with IELTS being the most common. English language requirements vary slightly from subject to subject.
Some countries do not need to prove their knowledge of English for visa purposes, however will still need to demonstrate it for academic study.

What to do if you don't meet our entry requirements
If you do not quite meet our entry requirements, our International College offers a range of university preparation courses to teach you all you need to progress to UWE Bristol. We also have a pre-sessional English language course to get your English skills up to the standard required for entry to UWE Bristol.

Undergraduate
Applicants who have completed the Bachillerato Academico/General with an overall grade of 70%, OR an American High School Diploma with an overall grade of 3.0/4.0 will be required to have one of the following:
- SAT with a minimum score of 1050
- ACT with a minimum score of 20
- An AP Test with a minimum score of 3
- An International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level subject at grade 5 or above.
For applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma, will be considered for entry with an overall diploma score of 28 points or above (or a minimum of 112 tariff points). Some of our courses require pre-requisite subject knowledge. This must be evidenced via relevant AP or IB tests.
To find out if a course has a subject requirement, find the degree you are interested in and select entry and review 'A-level subjects'.

Postgraduate
Applicants who hold a Licenciado/Titulo de (subject area) with an overall grade of 6.0+ will be eligible to apply for a postgraduate course.
Please note where UWE Bristol has an academic agreement in place with an institution, greater flexibility in entry requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate courses may apply as outlined in those agreements.

Funding and scholarships
We have scholarships of £5,000 available to students from the Caribbean and Latin America.
If you hold an unconditional or conditional offer for UWE Bristol and would like to be considered for a scholarship, simply send a short video of yourself answering the following questions:

- How could UWE Bristol attract more students from your country?
Please remember to state your name, country and UWE Welcome ID at the start of your video.
Send your completed video via WeTransfer to americas@uwe.ac.uk. The closing date for video submissions is 31 May (September entry) or 31 October (January entry).
Successful applicants will be notified after this date. Scholarships will be applied as a tuition fee discount and are offered against the first year of studies only. Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of their course.
