iTrent accessibility statement

Summary

This accessibility statement applies to the ITrent job vacancies website application.

This website application is run by UWE Bristol but is designed and built by a third-party company.

We want as many people as possible to use the website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the test spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent version of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver).

We have made the text as simple as possible to understand.

PDF content

PDFs are not fully accessible across the website, some of these are needed to use a key service.

Compliance status

This website application is partially compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliance listed below.

WCAG Criterion Issue
1.4.10 Reflow At 400% zoom, the placeholder text in the search bar is partly cut off.
1.4.3 Contrast There is not sufficient colour contract when at 200% or 400% zoom.
1.3.1 Info Relationships Job listings list element.

Third-party systems

This digital service delivered by the University currently uses third-party provided technology. This system cannot currently deliver the same level of accessibility compliance that the main website offers, and the University is not always able to influence the code on this platform. We are working with this supplier to ensure that accessibility updates are on their development roadmap.

We are working to strengthen our expectation of suppliers during procurement or renegotiation of contracts to enhance compliance in these systems.
