One of Britain's most respected potters and part of the Leach dynasty begun by his father Bernard, David carved a unique niche in the British studio pottery world. A gifted teacher and demonstrator, David was particularly renowned for his work in fluted porcelain with celadon glazes. Obituraies appeared in many of the national newspapers and in the May/June issue of Crafts Magazine. David was interviewed for the archive in 1993, one of the longest video recordings conducted by NEVAC at approximately seven hours.
