Interviewing Textile Artists:
Caroline Broadhead was interviewed on 23rd July 2002 and Audrey Walker M.B.E. and Eirian Short were interviewed on 17 April 2002 as part of a project with Goldsmith's College's Constance Howard Resource and Research Centre in Textiles. Audrey and Eirian were both tutors on the textile course at Goldsmith's and worked with Constance, whose own collection forms the core of Goldsmith's new Research Centre.
A major aim of NEVAC is to expand the range of interviews form the current concentration on ceramics to other branches of the crafts, This project is the first to begin to explore other crafts media in a concerted and planned manner. It is NEVAC's policy to work with other partners in the crafts world to ensure expertise and knowledge are shared and the best possible result is achieved. The interviewer on this project has been Pennina Barnett.
