Interview 
                    with Alan Caiger-Smith
                  Working
                      with Royal College of Art student Sophie Heath, an audio
                      interview was conducted with Alan Caiger-Smith on 19th
                      December
                    2002. Famous for his lustre ware pottery and his books and
                      articles, Alan is a major figure in British studio pottery. 
                    
                  Alan was 
                    interviewed at his home near his pottery in Aldermaston, Berkshire. 
                    The main topics which arose during the interview were the 
                    infleunces upon Alan's work and how he came to be interested 
                    in lustre and tin-glazed earthenware techniques.
                  The lustre 
                    bowl (illustrated left) was taken out of the kiln on the day
