ZOOM-Kids
on the move to Kyoto: Campaign launched by Climate
Alliance in June 2003. This campaign is for children all over Europe and aims to raise awareness of
the effects their transport choices for journeys to and from school have on the
environment. All participating children are encouraged to walk or cycle to
school during the project. It is about giving children a voice by identifying
areas of concern in their surroundings, by working out new solutions and by
handling them over to local decision-makers. The overall aim is to achieve
concrete improvements in local transport, organization and planning. For
