What is Clearing?
Clearing gives you the perfect opportunity to consider the best option for you. And we know that when you stop and think, great things can happen. Get advice on what to consider when applying through Clearing and choose the right course for you this September.
You can use Clearing to find a university place if you:
- haven’t had any offers (or none that you wish to accept)
- didn’t meet the conditions of your offer
- did meet the conditions of your offer but have changed your mind
- aren't waiting on the results of any pending qualifications
- apply after the UCAS deadline of 30 June 2024, and go straight into Clearing when it opens on 5 July.
Please note that not all courses recruit during Clearing and your preferred option may not be available.

Already got your results?
- Clearing opens on 5 July.
- If you already have your results, you don't need to wait for results day to apply to us through Clearing.
- We consider applications and make offers to applicants from 5 July.
- Contact us with your qualification information and we can discuss your options.
Using Clearing on results day
- A-level results day is on Thursday 15 August 2024.
- It's never too early to find out what to do on results day, including calling universities and how to accept an offer.
