Project summary

The Suburban Neighbourhood Adaptation for a Changing Climate (SNACC) team were commissioned to prepare a state of the art review on adapting suburbs for the RETROFIT 2050 project.

The project aims to deliver a step change in current knowledge and capacity for urban sustainability by working with key stakeholders to illuminate challenging but realistic social and technological options and pathways for the systematic retrofitting of two core UK city-regions.

Project output

As part of the project, the RETROFIT team have commissioned expert papers and held workshops to explore what technological change will mean for sustainability to 2050 and how this will interact with urban design and planning contexts in the UK. The SNACC team have authored a report and will participate in the workshops. All key project outputs are available online.
