Project summary
The Facilities Management Sector is a large and growing part of the property / construction sector and yet so far is under researched. This study hoped to answer some basic questions about the industry and find some of the emerging patterns that define its emerging structure.
Questions that were asked included areas as size and age of firm, market structure, customer base, training and qualification levels within the industry; areas which so far have not been fully researched. The method used will be a large scale postal survey and the use of statistical software (such as PPSS) to analyse and correlate the data.
