Bristol is renowned for its eclectic sense of style – so no surprises that its shops and markets are a joy to explore.

SPARKS, the city’s first sustainable department store, sits where M&S used to be. Here you can shop for local food, preloved clothes and furniture. And why not recycle, refill and repair while you’re there.

Gloucester Road is home to one of the longest stretches of independent shops in the UK. Its charity shops are so good that the Students' Union host an annual charity shop crawl there.

Whether it’s food, home or clothing, all the big names are here too. With half a dozen Aldi and Lidl’s dotted across the city cost effective food shopping just got a whole lot easier.

For high street names, Cabot Circus and Cribbs Causeway have everything under one roof and are easily accessible by bus.

Exploring Bristol’s markets is a great way to see more of the city and find some unusual treats and vintage treasures.
