Diversity and inclusion - why it's never been more important
“Our world has changed fundamentally, and it has changed overnight. We stand at the start of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Diversity and inclusion must be at the top of the agenda to enable recovery from the pandemic.”
Jacqueline de Rojas CBE delivered a fantastic and thought-provoking talk on why diversity and inclusion are essential to those that write our digital future.
In her talk, Jacqueline explained that as tech becomes increasingly influential in our lives, we need to take further steps to ensure it works for everyone. Discussing the key issue of digital exclusion in our society, Jacqueline highlights that millions of people in the UK don't have the essential digital skills that have become vital in day-to-day work and social life, calling attention to the importance that everyone, regardless of their age, gender, ethnicity, background or skills level, is given the opportunity to learn digital skills and thrive in a digital workforce and society.
