From climbing walls to squash courts, whether you're an elite athlete or a total beginner there is something here for you at the Centre for Sport.
The Centre for Sport offers top-of the range equipment, playing surfaces and facilities and many are available to hire. We can host events ranging from sports training and tournaments to corporate fun days and children's parties. View the facilities below to find hire information.
We currently offers three inclusive changing spaces for privacy. A curtained-off area is available for female-only activities. At the discretion of the duty manager, exceptions can be made for those engaging in Isha (night-time) prayer during Ramadan.

Sports and recreation facilities
Gym facilities
Located on Frenchay Campus, we have two fully equipped gyms and a dedicated performance sport gym.
Sports hall
Our competition-standard facilities feature a double sports hall which are ideal for a huge range of sports, from netball to indoor hockey.
Hillside Gardens
Industry-leading multi-sports pitch facilities including floodlit artificial pitches and a grass football pitch.
Astro pitch
Our all-weather astro pitch is a hub for hockey in the Bristol area. Located on Frenchay Campus, it has floodlighting and covered seating.
Studio
Hosting over 40 exercise classes per week, the studio is kitted out with the latest cycles, coloured lighting and mirrors.
Squash courts
Four glass-backed squash courts are available on Frenchay Campus.
Climbing wall
From hosting the climbing club, to kids parties and climbing courses, the indoor wall is suitable for everyone.
Trim trail
Get fit in the great outdoors with the free-to-use trim trail on Frenchay Campus.

Lockleaze Sports Centre provides state-of-the-art sport and pitch facilities in Bristol.
